Maui County Federal Credit Union will hold a school supply and backpack drive at its branches in Lahaina and Wailuku until July 15.
The event will support The Salvation Army Maui County’s annual effort to provide backpacks filled with school supplies for children in need.
Backpacks and school supplies can be dropped off at the Lahaina branch located at 270 Lahainaluna Rd. from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday or at the Wailuku branch located at 1888 Wili Pa Loop from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday or 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays. Donations for adopting a backpack are also being accepted.
“We are proud to be able to partner with The Salvation Army for the fifth year in the endeavor to help our keiki go back-to-school prepared to succeed. Donations of school supplies for kids in need will help ensure that students are able to focus on the important work of learning,” said Maui County Federal Credit Union President and CEO Gary Fukuroku.
