Eastlake, last year’s Division 1 champion, pounded out a 16-5 win over Rancho Bernardo on Wednesday to get to the title game. The Titans had six players with 20 RBIs and are hitting .323 as a team, led by Daniel Mora (.393-26 RBIs), Isaiah Lane (.298-32 RBIs) and Matthew Duran (.372-29 RBIs). Eastlake used their top starters Jake Davis and Brody Wells already this week, so Fidel Lopez may get the start, backed by Trevor Adame, Diego Uribe and Wells. The Titans have nine straight 20-win seasons, excluding the COVID year. … La Costa Canyon, the defending Open Division champion, is led by James Theodore (.408-16 RBIs), Gabe Camacho (.344-16 RBIs) and Kalen Applefield (.350-15 RBIs). The Mavericks, who have won 20 games in 14 of the last 15 years, excluding the COVID season, have right-hander Stunner Gonzalez (4-2, 2.25 ERA) and lefty Camacho (6-1, 1.50 ERA) ready to face Eastlake. … Eastlake and LCC played for the Lions Tournament title earlier this season with LCC winning 3-1.

Moving on: Both teams, including Open Division semifinalists Rancho Bernardo and Carlsbad, will advance to the Southern California Regionals. Pairings will be announced Sunday.

Patrick Henry has won six in a row to get to the title game. Jack Giordano (.272-22 RBIs), Talin Gardini (.321-24 runs) and Cody Cappelletti (.286-16 RBIs) lead the offense. The Patriots have Gardini (4-0, 1.25 ERA), Travis Van Dyke (3.1, 3.78 ERA) and Hamilton Collins (3-0, 3.11) ready to pitch. … Santana is led by Alex Gillis (.289-18 RBIs), Landen Bailey (.294-12 RBIs) and Bradley Phillips (.273-15 RBIs). The Sultans have ace Destin Allen-Fox (9-1, 0.63 ERA) ready to go. … The Patriots and Sultans played in March, with Santana winning 7-0.
